It’s been a while since I posted here in this blog. I have been so busy with my academic life that I cannot spare much of my time with the internet and blogging. Nevertheless, I would like to share some insights about how educational systems shape the country.

In one of my social science class last semester, our teacher related to us how the schools and universities prepare the students to the real life when it comes to the economic side. Being a capitalist country, we should be accustomed to the ways of a capitalist. Ever wonder why people who excel in class always gets incentives? Some medals, cards or even ribbons to name a few. Scholarship grants are even awarded to those who are considered as the best. This is because a capitalist society favor those who are best and disregard those who are not. The better you are,the higher positions you get. Incentives drive people to do good, in turn, the business earn more as productions increase with a good performance. This is the purpose of having incentives.

And have you ever wondered why uniforms are enforced in the school? For identity they say? And what if you fail to comply, having missing socks, or unprescribed undershirts, we are to pay them. Ever wonder why? Because capitalist societies live by the written rules to facilitate order among the group. But this can also benefit those in power and even abuse it. “Ignorance of the law excuses no one” is a protection to those who know the law and can be exploited over those who know nothing of the law.

I am not against capitalism, I was just sharing how agencies of the society work to shape the whole country.
