With the booming number of Filipino nurses aiming to work for greener pastures, many of the Filipinos that have brilliant mind choose to be nurses rather than being in their fields of interest. This is saddening to know since a lot of brains are not used to optimum. There is such thing as human resource but I think the Philippines is slowly losing its own. Nevertheless, dollar remittances have greatly increased after the great increase in the number of Filipinos abroad.
While people are eager to get a passport and enjoy their life ahead, a life that is expected to give them more earning for their hard efforts. What gives me dilemma is that while the family is excited that a family member will be out for abroad, how does the one going abroad feel about it? Physically he/she may be ready but how about emotionally? This is always a problem that is why telecommunications companies are trying their best to connect Filipino families and preserve the family ties. I just hope that no matter how far a family member may be, he/she should always be remembered and loved.
