Clean Living

September 18th, 2008 4 Comments

I was shocked early this morning when my mom wake me up in a hurry. I was half awake when she told me the news. One of our neighbors was apprehended because of illegal possession of drugs. It came to me in a shock since I always see that person standing near the corner of the street smoking only too realize now that he is selling drugs.

When I got out of the house later this morning, I overheard hearing people talking about the incident. I even heard that some of the teenagers living in the subdivision were rent for drug rehab because of exposure to the goods the apprehended person was selling. As I walked out of our street to buy some food, I noticed another group of teenagers drinking alcohol. I always see them everyday and I thought that what if these teens are sent for alcohol rehab, will they be okay, because I think they are also alcohol addicts. Nevertheless, I realized I’m lucky to be living a clean life.
