That Was Really Fun

December 8th, 2010 No Comments

My being so bum and doing nothing today led me to stay in one of the laboratories of our department. I was with my forever close classmate the whole afternoon. We talked about the normal topics while staying at a professors laboratory. After a couple of minutes, the door opened and he was coming in, our professor. He joined in the conversation. We found out that we were watching the same television programs during the night. The only difference is that my professor watches his in a rackmount lcd that he had installed in his entertainment area. We requested our professor to invite us over to his house so that we too can enjoy watching our favorite shows in lcd. Around four in the afternoon, the group left the room to finish our remaining businesses. It was a fun talk, really!

I find myself in constant denial of missing home for the reason that I almost spent more than half of my life there and missing it should not be on my thoughts. But as I disregard this particular thought, the more it sustains me to the point that I am imagining myself being inside of that home again and be freed from all the doubts and problems my new world charged me. I can no longer deny the fact that I am missing parts of that place. A taste of rest and distress makes me more excited to go home very soon.

Amazing Party!!!

Two days ago, we went to our orgmate’s house to celebrate their patron saint’s festival. There were lots of food and drinks that were served. More than that, we enjoyed exploring their extravagant house and tinkering some of their stuff. It was quite an amazing experience to be in their house. I never expected her to be living in such amazing place. They had lots of pedestal sinks and luxurious floor decorations. All of us hoped that we could come and visit her even if there was no occasion and she agreed earnestly. We were planning to spend the weekend at her place for some chitchat and small activities. That was a great party after all.

Note To Self, Read!!!

Reading is a habit I wished I was able to develop. There are a lot of people who I know that loves reading and they know a lot of things. They know trivial things and even the current events. I do know some and read some but I only do it as I please. Right now I am currently planning on building up my reading habit so that I can learn more about a lot things and to know things that I do not know of yet. There are a lot of subject matter too that I would like to read about too. Given enough spare time and a lot of interest, I think I can develop and harness the habit of reading.

The More the Manier

I was watching the television when I realized one thing. It was during the tv advertisements that something came to my mind. There are so many products that have the same function today that is sold in the market. Almost there is no variety among these products and even their promises are the same. This is so frustrating because there are a lot of products that can potentially be very useful but is not yet built probably because there is no market for it yet. How about creating a product that will help those who are very poor, a product that would somehow alleviate their quality of life, a product that is worth every penny? I wish it would be possible in the nearest possible future.

Back For More!

I am back to being a student assistant! I was absent for three weeks because of taking care of a small business. But since, that was well take cared of now, I have nothing to do but to report to my superiors and help them in whichever way I can. I missed doing the department’s paperworks and hearing some of the hot talks that’s going on around the building. There are times though that I feel overworked but its fine for me since most of the time I am doing absolutely nothing! Love to Work

Last night while we were talking under the influence of alcohol, we talked about a mature topic. One of my housemates started asking questions about how lovemaking-life was to us. Of course, I don’t have one. My housemates on the other hand had plenty and I ended up nodding in agreement and wooing in amazement. Then a question popped from nowhere. “How do you get by with it?” Then she said, two words: testosterone booster. And then I knew what that was. So I just smiled while some of my housemates kept asking what it was. I never answered them though but i told them to search the internet.

Technology has afforded the people of wireless gadgets. From telephones to cellphones, from manual tuning of the television to the remote control, from a cable connected to the television for more channels to the mini satellite installed at the comfort of your home, from the wired internet connections to the wi-fi. If comfortable gadgets were designed wireless then security should also be afforded as such. With that, there are wireless alarm systems today and even wireless monitoring systems where the personnel is safe from physical harm to maintain security. The personnel then can look out for possible problems that may arise from afar. Truly technology has made lives more comfortable.

Almost Done

Finally, at least one of the rooms of the house that were under construction is already done. The new bathroom was located between two bedrooms so that it is easier to access. The new undermount sink adds to the beautiful design of the whole bathroom. Also, it has a bathtub and a telephone shower. The house now has two bathrooms so there is no need to hurry during class days since there are already two bathrooms that can be used. I just wish I can use the new bathroom before I leave for school since the water pipes have not yet been installed. I think the workers are doing it right now. I am so excited.

Days from now and many students will be freed from school. Some will be marching towards a new chapter of their lives after receiving their diplomas-proofs of their hard work. Aside from the graduates, those who also share the college life will be able to take a break and enjoy the end of the semester. The end of a semester is a start of something new while it can be a continuation of an unending story. As for me, it will be a pause for my speedy life and a time to relax and reward myself for a job well done.

A year from now, I will also be one of the people who would proudly march towards the stage of achievement. Right now, I am visualizing a piece of a very big puzzle-my future. Having my own house and a home is a big part of this puzzle and I think that having it from Wilmington NC real estate is dream I wish to fulfill. Somehow, I promise myself to live in a beautiful place and hopeful I can do it in the future. And is a part of a dream I should work for to fulfill.
